Class 2 - Using Text and Painting tools - The children learnt to create a text box and use the keboard to type as well as using the paint tools to change the colour and thickness of the brush.
Class 3 Learning about desktop publishing
Class 3 have been thinking about the advantages and disadvantages of using text and images. They were given the task of explaining what they thought different images meant. Next they completed a group task and sorted statements.
Class 4 have been starting to design, build and test computer controlled working models, incorporating electrical systems. The children have been using and applying their coding skills to turn on their light bulb.
EYFS MOUSE CONTROL:
EYFS - UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD: ICT The children have used a programmable floor robot to navigate along a route. They have used a mouse to move objects on a screen when playing maths and phonics games. They have explored a graphics program to create pictures when drawing one of their favourite creations from God.
Class 2- ICT Programming a robot. We looked at what makes a toy move and followed the instructions to program the mouse to travel from one side of the classroom to another. We then estimated how many lengths of the mouse we would need to go from one child to another. It was great fun!! .
