Class 4 wrote newspaper articles, reporting on the Science workshop they'd enjoyed all about 'Our World: Our Future'.
Class 4 have been learning about DNA; they used jelly babies to demonstrate a family tree and how one person is made from DNA from many members of their family - not just from their parents. Mrs Dennis and Mr Bearman enjoyed eating the leftover jelly babies!
Class 4 have enjoyed being forensic scientists. They were learning about the detection of people being a scene bit are no longer there.
Class 2- Investigating how much ice is under the water and compared it to the iceberg that sunk the Titanic. We recognised that over 3/4 of the ice was below the surface. We then placed our hand on the ice and then touched our cheek so that we could feel how cold it was. It definately was cold!!!
Class 3 Investigating the strength of magnets
Class 4 have been learning all about forces; they have carried out a number of experiments, including a buoyancy experiment.
Class 4 have been learning about air resistance; they planned and carried out experiments with 'helicopters'.
