Lunch Menus

There is significant evidence that shows a link between good nutrition and academic outcomes. When children have a healthy diet their concentration levels and learning behaviours are better. At St Peter’s C of E Primary School, we believe that by teaching children healthy habits during the school day and through our curriculum, this will help children to make healthier lifestyle choices as they become adults.

We are proud of our school dinners and make sure that our dinners are healthy, fresh and delicious. We encourage all of our children to have a school dinner where possible. The government have decided that Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children are entitled to receive a free meal every day which we hope that everyone one in Class 1 and 2 will take up.

Every day the children can either have a nutritious hot meal, vegetarian option or a jacket potato and every meal includes the option of fresh fruit or a dessert. Class 1 and 2 meals are free as they are subsidised by the government (Universal Free School Meals) and our meals for Class 3 and 4, including desert or fruit, still cost just £2.40 per day, unless in receipt of Free School Meals. We do hope in the future to be able to invite parents and carers in to join their children for lunch.

Ordering your school dinner is even easier now as you can order and pay for the dinners in advance on our School Money system:

https://login.eduspot.co.uk/public/portal/school/?app=schoolmoney

You need to order and pay for your school meal by the Wednesday for the week ahead in order for us to order the correct amount of produce. For example, if you are planning on having dinners during week commencing 14th September, please order by Wednesday 9th September.

If you need any more information or would like to discuss any allergies, email the school office for more information.
