PTFA

St. Peter's PTFA Committee (formally known as the PTA) consists of 4 dedicated officers and a team of parents who work together to raise funds for the school. We wish to involve as many people as possible and we are always happy to listen to new ideas.

Our main aim is to raise funds for the ‘extras’ that just cannot be found within the school budget and to help fund larger projects, when necessary, to consistently enhance the educational experience of each and every child at St. Peter’s. We are there to support one another wherever and however we can. There is great community spirit as you become part of the family.

We organise various events throughout the year that both the children and the parents can enjoy. Thousands of pounds have been raised over the years, all for the good of the school and our children, with profits going to projects such as:

  1. visiting artists,
  2. workshops for the children,
  3. revamp of the outside ‘reflection’ areas,
  4. ongoing library update and improvement,
  5. cameras,
  6. sports kits,
  7. virtual pantomimes,
  8. Christmas gifts every year,
  9. Chromebooks for all classes,
  10. funding towards the ongoing IT development.

On top of this teachers give us a wish list at the beginning of each new term which we are always able to fulfil.

Once you join St. Peter’s you are welcome to join the PTFA committee, which is a great way of making new friends, as well as providing extra benefits for the children.

We have several ways you can communicate with us:

  1. Outside the school gates face to face.
  2. We have a Facebook page which can be found if you search for 'St Peters School Hanningfield PTFA’. Here we advise of upcoming events and questions can be asked.
  3. Email: stpeterspta21.22@gmail.com
  4. The PTFA has a gold box situated outside the school office; this is where we ask for slips and money to be placed when we have an event but you can also put in any communication for the PTFA.
  5. Finally, there is also a WhatsApp group for each year group for us to send out information or once again for you to ask any questions. The name of your child’s Year Rep will be posted on the door of the school entrance.

Details of the Governance of the PTFA and roles of its officers can be found in our Governance documents available on the website.
